Beautiful cabinet in ebony veneer, inlaid with bone strips, ivory plates and petra dura cartouches (including lapis lazuli).It opens with a descending flap and a rising flap, both closed by a central lock. The plates decorating the drawers represent scenes of cherubs, putti and angels in funny or religious scenes. The door of the theatre shows an Ottoman ruler receiving the oath of allegiance from a warrior in armor. Three drawers and compartments in the upper part; four drawers in the inner theatre. Beautiful ornamentation of precious stones in round and oval cartouches. Northern Italy ? 17th c.
