Circular dish in galvanoplasty representing the Greek Pantheon, on the rim of a central lyre motif surrounded by two winged cherubs. Very fine work (this method generally gives coarser works) from the end of the 19th century. Electroplating is a technique of shaping a metal object by electrolytic deposition of this pure metal forming a more or less thick layer. The work thus obtained, from various materials, most often copper, is generally gilt or silver plated afterwards by the same process. Good condition. Dim. 0,40m in diameter.

Beautiful natural wood frame .
