Large panel in limewood (?) painted with a Nativity scene, the Virgin and Child are surrounded by 15 saints from Christian history. Given the size of the panel and its composition, it is probably a predella. The predella is the lower part of a polyptych altarpiece, developed horizontally, which serves as a support for the main panels, and where a series of subjects related to the main theme in general appears. It is a characteristic type of painting of the 14th and 15th centuries, but continued until the 16th century. It may be composed of one single long board, or of several elements dismantled during the dismantling of the polyptych. Southern Germany (Bavaria), or Tyrol, around 1520.
