Portrait of Ephraim – Pastel signed SAIZEDE 1923

Portrait of Ephraim, one of the sons of Joseph, son of Jacob. The tribe of Ephraim is generally included in the list of the twelve tribes of Israel in the place of Joseph. The present Samaritans claim to be descendants of Ephraim (and his brother Manasseh). Pastel signed top right “SAIZEDE, 1923”.
